oh the joys of being in a six hour photography class.
I pray to god that this instructor with the heavy french accent does not take the fun out of photography for me, please let him be at least somewhat creative and understanding and patient….

is to figure out what I love first. There are so many options and so far I’ve been exploring them, trying to figure out exactly what fits and what doesn’t, but I’m still completely on the fence as far as an honest to goodness career goes, even that word… “career” scares me. I’m sure that I’ll figure it out eventually, but for now, its all just going to have to be trial and error.
things that I could never ever see myself doing:
being a secretary: I’m wonderful at answering phones but any type of deskjob mortifies me, I am not a desk job type of person.
being a lawyer: I loved mock trial in high school, I’m great at making arguments, and I love learning about the law, but being in a stuffy courtroom, and having to wear a suit…. no thank you. I am not a suit type of person either.
being a nurse: I hate the sight of blood, I hate needles, I hate hospitals. not to mention the fact that I get sick just setting foot into one, I can’t imagine what my nerves would be like if I actually had to work in one.
Things that I see myself doing:
Acting/Directing
Writing
Editing
Traveling
Photographing ( everything!)
Singing ( or anything with music really)
Managing Bands or Artists
Creating a Non Profit
Founding a Magazine
Teaching ( it would have to be something art, history, or science related otherwise it wouldn’t work out)
Taking Adventures: for the longest time I’ve thought about doing something with Archeology and Cultural Anthropology…. I’m not sure how this will fit into my life but at some point I will go on an archeological dig.
Something with Languages: maybe a linguist or something of the sort. I’ve always had a love for languages and I am pretty good at picking them up when I try to ( though lately I haven’t studied any at all…. fail on my part) I also have a habit of listening to people that come into my work, if they have an accent I try to place the accent itself and the region its from, I know… I’m odd.
Not really practical career goals but they are all things that I love, and if you don’t do what you love, then whats the point?
don’t you forget about me | simple minds

Once was Love- Ingrid Michaelson
I just walked into my younger brothers room and saw that he had a calendar of girls in bikinis hanging on his wall.
Me: is that a calendar of naked girls on your wall?
Billy: yep.
Nina: He’s fourteen.
Me: ( walking out of the room slowly…whining) gooooddddd stop growing up!!!
